Pat White is the wife of Edward Higgins White, one of the Gemini astronauts. Pat has blonde hair, brown eyes and is described as a "living doll". She and Ed have two children and a close, affectionate marriage. When Ed dies during a test of Apollo 1, Pat is unable to cope with the loss and withdraws from reality. Louise looks after her, bringing food and checking up on her children.
